The Black Crows Vertis is a high-performance piste carver designed for fast edge to edge transitions and stability at speed. Most at home on or alongside the groomers, the Vertis features a traditional camber with an 85mm waist to assist with Australian softer afternoons. We skied this ski in Austria in March 2017 and found it to be a fun stable carver, with a nice tight radius that left trenches all over the demo hill. the nitty-gritty Long classic camber: classic underfoot camber with wide ski/snow contact for cutting downhill turns. Short radius (15 m) and narrow waist (85mm): reactive, edge to edge transition speed, short carving lines. Ski orientated towards ‘piste’ and changeable snow conditions, very stable with a fast edge to edge transition. Sporty and fun flex. Light rocker (giving stability), small pivot, good edge control, glides well.
