The idea sparked in 2023, when the pair, who were navigating the male-dominated world of investment banking at Piper Sandler, became tired of mainstream detergents that were harsh on skin and fabrics, full of questionable ingredients and low quality fragrances, and packaged in clunky, outdated plastic jugs. After a year of planning and developing their formula, they left their careers in 2024 to launch Wishing Well earlier this year—a brand that blends skincare-inspired performance with sustainable design. Both graduates of St. Olaf College, the duo is on a mission to bring beauty, safety, intention, and a sense of community to the overlooked laundry aisle.
