Our Service Jacket returns—still faithful to the P-41 Marine Corps fatigues that inspired it, rebuilt with a high density Japanese twill. Needless to say it continues to earn its keep: with deep patch pockets sized for notebooks and essential gear, double-needle stitching, bartacks at stress points, corozo buttons built to last, and a tall collar to protect against wind and weather. We kept what worked.  What's changed? The fabric. This iteration features the same yarn-dyed cotton twill from Okayama, Japan that we selected for our Field Pant—a high-density weave with a crisp hand-feel that softens through wear, developing natural creases and color variations over time. The yarn dyeing penetrates each fiber completely before weaving, ensuring deeper, more permanent color that ages well. We've started that process with a garment rinse, so your Service Jacket arrives with subtle texture and variation already built in. Cut and sewn in New York City by one of our most trusted garment makers, this generation of Service Jacket adds a single interior pocket while maintaining every functional detail that made the original so essential.
