DETAILS -Frame size 9" x 14.5" -Pennant size 4" x 9"- -Vintage Wool Felt Pennant WHAT IS A HORMEL PENNANT? In the 1950s, collectibles were everywhere: baseball cards, comic books, stamps, and more. In 1953, the Hormel Company wanted to capitalize on this trend and attached over 5 million wool felt 4 x 9 inch pennants representing 95 different universities to their soup cans using rubber bands (seriously!).  Once advertised in comic books and at grocery stores, very few of these special collectibles remain today.  Americana Memories has attractively framed these pieces for your enjoyment to rekindle old memories, celebrate graduations and acceptances, and of course, brag about your school.
