Made from recycled paper, the Unikko paper napkins bring joy and colour to any table. They come in a pack of 20. Unikko, symbolizing creativity, was born in a time when hardly any floral designs were included in Marimekko’s collections. Maija Isola, however, was fascinated by the theme of flowers and decided to create an entire range of novel floral prints.

Kaika Mini Unikko

The small Kaika pouch is made of cotton in the Mini Unikko pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The pouch has a zipper closure and a recycled polyester lining on the inside. 30% of the cotton used in this product is recycled. Oiva / Unikko

The Oiva plate with Unikko pattern is made of dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer safe whiteware. Oiva products are designed by Sami Ruotsalainen. Please remove the sticker from the bottom of the product before use. The sticker contains a small amount of metal. Marimekko’s famous pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.

Solmia Piirto Unikko

The Solmia rib jersey turtleneck has a straight, skinny fit and it features the Piirto Unikko pattern. The turtleneck has extra-long, slim sleeves. The turtleneck if made of a polyamide blend, which contains 94% recycled polyamide and 6% elastane.

Maridenim Somasti Unikko

The light grey Maridenim Somasti cotton denim dress has a slim, A-line fit and it features the Unikko pattern. The sleeveless dress has an O-neck, a metal zipper in the back seam with a long grosgrain ribbon puller, and side seam pockets. Marimekko Maridenim products are designed following the Jeans Redesign guidelines of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, world´s leading network on circular economy. According to the guidelines, the denim material is monomaterial cotton (80% organic cotton and 20% recycled cotton) with no elastane. Marimekko Maridenim is made with minimal use of hardware, including the use of removable buttons and no rivets. The washing, finishing and use of chemicals also follow the guidelines. To produce the colours, patterns and desired feel of the products, we use, for example, laser technology, E-Flow steam washing and ozone washing, instead of, for example, traditional stone washing. Maridenim products have a special finishing and patina which gives each piece a unique, distinctive character. This feature is part of the charm and appeal of Maridenim products.

Oiva-muki Valssi-kuosilla koristettuna on valmistettu konepesun, uunin, mikroaaltouunin ja pakastuksen kestävästä valkoisesta keramiikasta. Oiva-tuotteet on suunnitellut Sami Ruotsalainen. Poistathan astioiden pohjassa olevan tuotetarran ennen käyttöä. Tarra sisältää metallia. Aina-Maija Metsola maalasi Valssi-kuvion suuret ja herkät kukat lempeän lämpimien kesäiltojen innoittamana. Kuosin läpikuultavissa terälehdissä voi aistia liikettä ja rytmiä – kuin kukkien tanssia.
