Botanical Name: Oenothera biennis Extraction Method: Cold Pressed Processing Type: Unrefined Obtained From: Seeds Origin: China Description: Evening Primrose Carrier Oil is a rich source of gamma linoleic acid, omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids which can be used to provide a nourished look to the skin. Small amounts are often added to other carrier oils for fortification. Color: Pale yellow to golden yellow liquid. Aromatic Description: Being unrefined, Evening Primrose Oil has been left in its virgin state after pressing. It has not been run through filters or any other processes, so stronger colors and fragrances should be expected. This is completely natural. Common Uses: Evening Primrose can be used for soap making and bath and body manufacturing applications. It is used in dilution with other carrier oils suitable for massage. Evening Primrose Unrefined Oil is reputed to nourish the skin and hair. It is reputed to soothe and relieve the skin while reducing the appearance of aging.  Consistency: Typical and Characteristic of Carrier Oils. Absorption: Evening Primrose Carrier Oil will leave a very oily feeling on skin. Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of up to 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended. Start with small trial batches to adjust the fragrance strength to your liking. This creamy, fruity blend will leave your soaps smelling like a freshly baked peach dessert. Creamy Candles: To fill any space with a comforting, fruity aroma, incorporate the fragrance oil at approximately 6–10% of the wax weight.  Gorgeous Gel Candles: For gel candles, use 6–8% of the total wax weight for a long-lasting, fragrant experience.
