At Finca Santa Maria, the coffee is cultivated by a remarkable team of 22 women, all of whom are heads of household. Their mission extends beyond producing exceptional coffee; it is about positively impacting their community and nurturing a harmonious relationship with nature. This commitment is validated by their certifications as an organic farm, Smithsonian Bird Friendly®, and recipients of the Con Manos de Mujer seal, a testament to the dedication and hard work of these remarkable women. From hand-harvesting only the ripest fruits to carefully extracting and drying the coffee seeds, every step is executed with precision. The beans are dried using the honey processing method, which imparts an intriguing resemblance to honey in appearance, texture, and aroma.
