The Dashmount system enables you to easily mount and use your 5 Watt Radio in your vehicle, both on and off-road. The 5 Watt Cradle is made of high-impact plastic and includes an optional rubber retaining strap for extreme terrain. We teamed up with RAM® Mounts to make the cradle fully compatible with RAM® mounting systems, or you can purchase the Cradle Only version and use your preferred 3rd-party mount. The Dashmount for 5 Watt Radio has two purchase options: 5 Watt Cradle + RAM® mount kit (4 pieces) Cradle, rubber strap, and screws RAM® Diamond Ball Base - B Size (RAM-B-238U) RAM® Composite Double Socket Arm - B Size Medium (RAP-B-201U) RAM® Twist-Lock™ Suction Cup Base with Ball (RAM-B-224-1U) 5 Watt Cradle Only: Cradle, rubber strap, and screws The 5 Watt Cradle includes M5 stainless steel screws and two threaded inserts spaced 1.912" (or 48.5mm) apart. This matches the standard 2-hole AMPS pattern and will connect to a large variety of RAM® Mounts & third-party mounts.

The 5 Watt Radio uses a specialized lithium-ion, cold-resistant battery. The capacity is 1800 mAh and standby battery life is around 150 hours of standby time. We’re excited to introduce our GMRS radio with IP67 waterproofing, 5 days of battery life, and 5-watts of power for optimal range.Designed and tested in the mountains and rivers of the Colorado Rockies, the radio is rugged with protective rubber padding and a shatterproof LED screen. Each radio is hand-tested to IP67 waterproofing standards (1 meter submersion) and includes a water-shedding design for quick communication in white-water.The 5 Watt Radio maximizes two critical aspects of a backcountry radio: range and battery life. The radio transmits the highest GMRS power (5-watts) permitted under FCC regulations. The max range is over 35 miles, however, 2 to 8 miles is typical in backcountry terrain. The radio includes a specialized 1800 mAH battery that achieves around 4 to 6 days on a single charge, even in frigid conditions down to -20°F.Easily attach the 5 Watt to packs and other gear using the integrated steel gator clip (with 360-degree rotation) and backup leash. USB Power Adapter

This power adapter is compatible with both the Mountain Radio and the 5 Watt Radio. This product is only the AC wall adapter block and does not include a cable. It has a USB-A port, outputs 5 Volts with 2 Amps and accepts 110V and 220V. All radios include a UBS-A to USB-C charging cable that is compatible with this adapter. Rocky Talkie radios no longer include a charging adapter as part of our 2024 sustainability initiatives. You can purchase this adapter or use other 3rd party adapters such as phone or laptop chargers, power banks, solar chargers, or car chargers to charge your radios.

The Whip Antenna is a high-performance GMRS antenna designed to improve signal strength and audio quality for your 5 Watt Radio. It’s durable design and memory-resistant wire hold up in heavy use. For activities that push the limits of your radio’s range, the Whip Antenna can improve signal strength by 30% depending on terrain. This 38.8cm (15 inch) high-gain antenna is an optional accessory for the 5 Watt Radio. Please note each 5 Watt Radio includes a stock 7.5 cm and 17 cm antenna.
