Her main medium is acrylics which she uses on a variety of surfaces in bright, cheerful colors and a whimsical vibe. Samm frequently uses a lot of reclaimed materials in her original art including reclaimed wood and repurposed fan blades to keep materials out of landfills whenever she can. Samm spent several years working within the field of wildlife conservation, education and research before pursuing art full time. She loved the work she did with animals but her creative brain was constantly wandering and wishing to spend more time creating.. so she ultimately transitioned into art as a full time career. To still feel connected and make a difference for animals, Samm uses her artistic abilities to lead painting party fundraisers that raise money for animal-welfare and conservation non-profits. Most of Samm’s art business is creating commissioned animal artwork and custom pet portraits.
