This makes the Recon 4G truly as untamed and potent as an entirely hypothetical Wolf wielding a double barrel. Powering this two chambered absolute banger of a cloud blowing machine is a 650mAh battery, 5 voltage settings (1.8, 2.4, 3.0, 3.6, 4.2v), and 10 second preheat functionality. Completing the Wulf Recon 4G package is its lightning fast USB-C compatible charging port, concealing hard shell body, and textured hand grips for that premium ergonomic feel. All that's left is to take a pick between the 9 colors, including some favorites like the purple black spatter, red black spatter, and shiny full color. Loading the Recon 4G In order to start using your Recon 4G you must first load your 510 threaded cartridges with your desired concentrate or oils. Make sure to take your time while loading, you don’t want any spillage contaminating your 510 threads on accident. Now that your cartridges are ready you can remove the bottom segment of your Recon 4G by pulling on its magnetic connection. Once removed you will see two 510 cartridge ports that are ready to be filled with your favorites! All you have to do is screw one or more of your cartridges into the bottom of the device and make sure that they are flush against the threading, this indicates a proper connection. From here you simply place the now loaded magnetic bottom piece into the body of your Recon 4G, when done correctly you will hear a satisfying click of the seal forming. As a note your Recon 4G can only be assembled one way, if you attempt to put the bottom section in backwards you will feel magnetic resistance pushing them apart. This is your indicator to flip the bottom around and reinsert correctly. Using Your Recon 4G To power on the Recon 4G press the power button 5 times in rapid succession. When successfully input, your OLED screen will display a message reading “Recon 4G” before the home screen pops up. On this home screen you will see all your necessary info including voltage, puff count, cartridge position, and current battery level. Adjusting Your Temperature Your Recon 4G comes equipped with 5 different voltage settings that give you access to the full spectrum of concentrate vaping available. The included settings are 1.8v, 1.4v, 3.0v, 3.6v, 4.2. To see your current level, press the power button once to go to your home screen and look for the large numerical value with a V. In order to alter your setting, press the power button three times rapidly. When done correctly your OLED will switch to a full screen version of just the voltage setting. To continue, keep pressing the power button to cycle through the five available voltage settings. When you have reached your desired voltage, wait a moment until your home screen comes back up. This indicates the new voltage is locked in and you will now see the new reading on your home screen on the left hand side. Pre-Heating Your Recon 4G Preheating is an awesome function that gives your Recon 4G a bit of a headstart on your next hit by slightly warming your cartridge(s). To activate the preheating, tap your power button 2 times in a row, this’ll cause your OLED display to switch to a screen reading a 10s countdown. Keep an eye on this, as it's here to let you know that your cartridges are currently heating up and when it reaches 10 it will begin to flash, you can now take a puff just like normal, but now with a perfectly prepped temperature that will give you a harder hitting cloud. Cartridge Selection on Your Recon 4G To switch between your two loaded cartridges all you have to do is locate the toggle switch located at the bottom of your Recon 4G right above the USB-C port. Here you can switch between the left, right, and double cartridge options with the simple flick of your finger, no extra loading or swapping needed. To check which cartridge setting you are on without the switch, take a look at your OLED home screen and take note of the letter sitting above your puff counter. This will either read L (left), R (right), or D (double). This lets you easily see which cart you are currently vaping from while checking voltage and battery level at the same time. Using the Puff Counter To help you keep track of your session and allow for precision dosing, the Wulf 4G helpfully included a puff counter on its home screen. On your OLED the puff counter is represented by the smaller numbers underneath the cartridge indicator. If you want to reset the counter, then click the power button 4 times in a row and watch as the puff counter reading switches to “0000”. Now you can start a fresh session all the while keeping an exact count of how many hits you’ve taken. How to Charge the Recon 4G Before you use your Recon 4G for the first time, make sure to charge it for 1.5 hours or until the battery level on the OLED display reads 100%. When plugged into a compatible USB-C power source, the Recon 4G’s screen will display both a visual of a bar filling and a % to let you easily see where you're at. Make sure to never charge your Recon 4G for longer than an 1.5 hours as this can lead to issues with battery longevity, lifespan, and overheating. Troubleshooting the Recon 4G In order to safely and properly use your Recon 4G there are several troubleshooting warnings that you should make yourself aware of. Taking note of these warnings will help you avoid unnecessary issues or misunderstandings. If your power button is held down longer than 15s your OLED screen will flash 5x in a row before safely returning you to stand by. This is the Overtime Warning and is there to ensure your Recon 4G is never accidentally powered on without you knowing. Should the Recon 4G be left sitting without use for more than 5 minutes, it will automatically power down in order to conserve your battery and increase safety. This is the Auto Shut Off Warning and is here for your safety. As a handy reminder that your Wulf Recon 4G is currently empty, if you happen to accidentally try to vape from your device while it's empty you will be greeted by the Cartridge Detection Warning. This can be triggered by either having zero cartridges inserted or if you only have one cart inserted while the switch is on the opposite side. How to Clean Your Recon 4G To start cleaning your Recon 4G make sure that it is fully powered down and that both cartridge chambers are clear. Next you can take a cloth or anti bacterial wipe and gently clean your mouthpiece, this is a good idea to do periodically or after particularly crowded sessions. Following this, ensure that your Recon 4G is hitting perfectly by spending a moment delicately cleaning the 510 threaded connectors on the base. To accomplish this safely, dampen a q-tip with isopropyl alcohol and swirl it around gently to remove any build up.
