In Escentric 02, Ambroxan is combined with the aphrodisiac notes of green jasmine bud and a sparkling 'gin and tonic' accord. The composition is further elevated by a hint of Almdudler and, as the nose Geza Schoen describes, "that specific smell you get when you unwrap a new Apple laptop." Ambroxan is a lab-created crystal identical to ambrox, a substance originally derived from ambergris—one of the most valuable and mysterious materials in perfumery—expelled by the sperm whale. Ambergris drifts in the ocean for years, slowly maturing into a substance with a beautifully refined scent renowned for its sensuality and depth. In modern perfumery, natural ambergris is exceedingly rare, and most fragrances use lab-created equivalents to replicate its distinctive aroma. The finest of these is Ambroxan, a molecule isolated from plant sources in 1950. Ambergris has long been treasured for its complexity and seductive qualities, and these characteristics persist in Ambroxan, ensuring that the essence of refinement remains. Geza Schoen describes the final effect as a "super long-lasting freshness into the drydown, with a subtle sensuality." Molecule 01

Molecule 01 100ml consists of 100% Iso E Super, pure and singular. It combines — almost caramelises — with your own smell to meld into a personal scent signature. Molecule 01 has been said to cause animal magnetism — a latter-day love potion. Perfumer Geza Schoen used the beautifully mysterious and democratic aroma-molecule Iso E Super as the star of this juice. He felt it expressed everything a perfumer could want: radiance, tenacity, and power. "Iso E Super is one of those scents that makes you want to nestle into it. It's comforting and cocooning," says Geza Schoen. Molecule 01 has a marked intermittence. To the wearer, it seems to vanish and then re-appear. This is due to the way it sits with receptors in the olfactory system, only slowly releasing to make it easy for a new charge of the molecule on the receptors. Iso E Super does not exist in nature and was created in a laboratory at the IFF in 1973. "Molecule 01 is for the individual who might be a bit bored with fragrance and would prefer to radiate an aura. It's difficult to call a single aroma-chemical a fragrance — it's so much more personal," says Geza. Molecule 01 100ml is a cult classic of today that remains as disruptive and avant-garde as the day it was first bottled. The velvety wood-tinged hedonism of Iso E Super (with effects that read like something from the pages of a Neal Stephenson novel) makes for an irresistible skin scent. As Scentury's Helder Suffenplan put it, "Molecule 01 is a modern classic that I like to compare with Malevich's Black Square, a monochrome canvas from 1913 that promotes indignation in many people, even today, since: 'Anyone can paint a black square!' Molecule 01 + Ginger

The most minimal fragrance is a single aroma-molecule: Molecule 01. The next most minimal adds 1 to 01: 01 + 1. This is Molecule +. Molecule 01 + Ginger consists of Iso E Super + Ginger. Iso E Super is an abstract synthetic molecule with a cedarwood tonality and a warm, velvety cocooning sensation. Ginger is extracted from the rhizome of the ginger plant with a fresh and spicy scent profile. M+ Ginger stands out with its contrasting nuances that are as surprising as they are addictive. Strong yet soothing, peppery but effervescent, ubiquitously familiar and singularly imaginative. "M+ Ginger oozes and boasts that simplicity of smell that people don't expect in any other fragrance. What's striking about ginger is how it combines a crisp and zesty freshness and peppery spiciness in one ingredient. I've always loved that. When I smelt this new 'ginger oil fresh' from the Ivory Coast, I knew I had to do Molecule + Ginger. I also used a co2 ginger extract from China for a smoother, sweet aromatic ginger note, or as I like to say, neon fresh! It is so clean, so pure, with a sharp effervescent quality that plays beautifully in the landscape of Molecule 01," says Geza Schoen. Escentric 03

Escentric 03 honours Vetiveryl Acetate, a natural root + synthetic hybrid. Vetiver's alluringly sensual aromatic profile goes beyond composition. This accord has a crisp, clean sharpness with an effervescent quality that plays beautifully in the landscape of skin scents. Picture the scene: a gentle river winds through green plains. On the horizon, a plump orange sun rises behind a set of fluffy clouds. This isn't a pastoral painting or a picture-perfect scene ripped from the pages of a literary classic. This is an olfactory memory of Escentric 03. Vetiveryl Acetate could be described as a hybrid molecule, half-synthetic, half-natural. It is a fraction of vetiver oil distilled from the roots of an Indian grass, which is then 'crossed' with acetic acid to remove the bitter and leathery aspects of the root. Escentric 03 100ml focuses on Vetiveryl Acetate in a formula that pays tribute to the three roots used in perfumery: vetiver, ginger and orris. "I wanted Escentric 03 to bring out the scent impressions of these roots and show how they harmonise with each other," says Geza Schoen. Ginger dominates the top note, which is vibrant, green and spicy with lime peel and green peppercorn. The heart is a rich, velvety orris with Egyptian jasmine and tea notes. The drydown reveals the complex earthiness of vetiver combined with sandalwood, cedar, mellow balsams and musk. The result is a spicy but fresh and elegant chypre with woody, balsamic notes — that heady hit of dark green woodiness when you walk past tropical grass, but far smoother and softer. The subtle harmony of green impressions in Escentric 03 100ml equates to a sense of wonder through a rampant wilderness, packing an aroma of crackling autumnal roots that steal the sultry heat of summer.

Escentric 02

Shift the spectrum of your reality with the basking golden tangerine of Escentric 02. Ambroxan has a subtle sensual quality with a radiant, long-lasting drydown. Escentric 02 contains 13.5% Ambroxan in a formula designed to amplify its mineral note with hedione (green jasmine bud), a 'gin and tonic' accord, "and a hint of the Austrian lemonade called Almdudler". Schoen describes the final effect as "super-longlasting freshness into the drydown, with a subtle sensuality".*13.5% is the maximum percentage of Ambroxan that can be dissolved in a fragrance compound. Any more, and the Ambroxan begins to crystallise out of the solution. Please note: We have performed a general modernisation of the packaging introducing our new branding elements and logo.
