Description

Size: 17 x 13 x 1.5’’  Weight: 7.5 lbs Wood Family: American Black Walnut  Construction: End grain  Features: Juice groove, three built-in compartments, removable rubber feet on both sides Made in the USA: I’m handcrafted in small batches right here in the USA from sustainably sourced American Black Walnut. My parents take special care to hand select only the highest quality hardwood when making me so that I can perform well for you and look good while doing it. Best At: Daily dicing and meat carving. I’m made of rich and sturdy, end grain Walnut ideal for all your daily dicing and carving needs, with a few extra features up my sleeve. With a capacity of up to 3.5 oz, my juice groove side will keep your counters dry during any kind of liquid heavy endeavors, but is especially useful when carving and serving pieces of meat like steak, chicken, or pork chops. My other side is equipped with 3 handy built-in compartments, which can be used as a catch for diced items during meal prep, or to hold any accompaniments like dips, nuts, crackers, olives, or berries when using me as a charcuterie board. I also have removable rubber feet on both sides to keep even your most vigorous carving, dicing, or serving tasks in place. Special Skills: I’ll be your knife’s new BFF! I’m different than most of my other brothers and sisters because I’m an end grain constructed board. My wood fibers are facing up allowing each slice of your blade to go in between these fibers rather than through them. Translation? I keep your blades sharper for longer, and am very dreamy to cut on! Likes: Salt Bae, long walks to the grill, wine and cheese nights, supper clubs, and regular spa treatments every 3 weeks (mineral oil or beeswax only, please!). Dislikes: Dishwashers, baths, or anything involving submersion in water or steam, and serrated or electric carving knives, which can cause me to splinter. Also, the stove and my family are in a lifelong feud, so please don’t store me directly next to or on top of him; I just can’t stand the heat. Safe & Non-Toxic: Free of BPA, phthalates, and formaldehyde. Behind the Name: I am named after one of my parent’s favorite local coffee shops here in Los Angeles: Alfred Coffee! It's also a street name in their neighborhood. Care: I’m ideally suited for an experienced owner; however, I love the opportunity to show new owners how great I can be when well cared for. I am more thirsty than my edge grain brothers and sisters and require regular spa treatments to keep me at the top of my game. For detailed care instructions, click here.
